Canoeing, Kayaking, Tubing Along the Rappahannock River

The property is located along the Rappahannock River which is officially designated as a state scenic river. The Rappahannock River is popular for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing not only for its beauty but also for its variety of waters.

The Canoeing/Kayaking Season Starts May 28 and ends September 10, 2017.

10AM:  2 – 6(max) Hours in River

12PM:  2 – 4(max) Hours in River

2PM:  2 Hours (max) in River

(All Guests must be out of the river by 4PM due to Office closing at 5PM)

Canoe/Kayak Wine Run, Lesson and Gourmet Lunch Event
Come join us for a canoe adventure, wine and catered lunch. You will float the Rappahannock River with experienced guides at 10:30 am the date of your reservation. After a relaxing river experience, you will be greeted at “Mountain Run” with a five course gourmet lunch that includes a wine paired with each course. Stay as long as you like before being returned to Kelly’s Ford where you started. The adventure ends at 4 p.m.

6 canoes and 4 kayaks (up to 16 people) will leave at 10:30 a.m. from the Inn at Kelly’s Ford. The cost is $78 per person and runs May through October and includes wine tasting, gourmet lunch, instruction and guide. (If you have your own canoe/kayak cost is $35/person).
